Not a great experience. I got the country fried steak, fried apples, mac & cheese, and not really seeing any other sides I wanted, apple slices. Turns out the apple slices were the best part. The country fried steak was OBVIOUSLY from frozen. It was perfectly shaped and uniformly breaded, just like the ones you get at the warehouse club. Covered with a small helping of gravy. Tasted as boring as the frozen section ones too. I tasted the mac and cheese first, it was warm and not good or bad, just plain ol mac and cheese, but went cold quickly. The fried apples came out super dark brown, but my wife's came out very very light colored. We tried both, the dark was cinnamon mush and the light was unseasoned crisp. We were seated quickly and the server was nice enough. Two stars I guess, can't wait to poop and get rid of this bloated cheap food feeling.
Ordered our Thanksgiving feast for home and it was fabulous!! When it was picked up it was packaged perfectly, no risk of spills. They loaded into my car. And easy heat and eat directions, right in the containers, which were reusable to share and refrigerate leftovers. The money and time saved, and quality of food made this Thanksgiving an enjoyable, relaxing holiday for Everyone, including the non cook and servers...this created quality and quantity time together.
The service and food was excellent. Right off the highway makes this place a real treat with country charm and shopping for clothes and nick backed too. So much fun
Say goodbye to your wallet but say hello to good food and shopping afterward. If home cooking and family style food had its own themed restaurant this would be eat. Both their breakfast and dinner are great, they have a huge store inside with lots of goodies and Cracker Barrel has been a staple for my family for gatherings.
I don't know if today was a fluke experience or what but it was terrible. First, we waited for 20-25 mins for a seat. Second, once we were taken back to our table, it was still being cleared and we were made to,move from side to side for waiters and other customers coming in and out. Third, they have removed their chicken salad sandwich from the menu which isn't bad in general, just sucks for me. Lol. Fourth, when we did finally get out food, not all of it was delivered. We were given the wrong sides, portions of the meal were left off the plate. The mashed potatoes were stone cold. My husbands cinnamon role was hard as a rock and had no icing on it, which was also one of the items left off the table. Our waitress offered no apology. It's been quite a while since we've been here because of the absurd wait time for a table but now we won't be returning because the food has become terrible.
